Nanpean Rovers AFC hosted a charity football day on Sunday the 4th of August organised by Will Annear with 2 matches, the first at 11am was Cornwall Refs v Royal Par Vets and the second at 1pm was Cornwall refs v Clays Vets.
Royal Par Vets helped raising funds for Little Hearts Matter with Cornwall Refs, Here's what they said on their Facebook page ...
⚽ Good Luck, Will Annear! ⚽ We're cheering on Will Annear, a dedicated football referee from Cornwall, as he takes on a special role today. Will is hosting two charity matches: Referees vs. Veterans, to raise funds for Little Hearts Matter (LHM). His inspiration? His amazing five-year-old daughter, Delilah, who has Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. Delilah just finished her first year in reception and will proudly lead the players onto the pitch—a moment we can't wait to see! We can’t wait to see pictures of the day – filled with football, a raffle, an auction, and a BBQ, all in aid of Little Hearts Matter, who have been a vital support for Will's family, helping them navigate challenges faced when a child is diagnosed with half a heart. Wishing you the best of luck, Will! If you’re inspired to host a sports event in aid of Little Hearts Matter, we’d be delighted to speak with you – drop us an email today: fundraising@lhm.org.uk.
Big thanks to Nanpean Rovers AFC for the hosting and hospitality.
The game ended 10 - 3 for Royal Par Vets.
